This collection of stamps of mushrooms, fungi and lichens, started around 2012, is one of the largest in the world and the only one in original plate form available online.

The collection: more than 1,790 issues of fungi stamps.

The set shows more than 9,800 different fungi stamps from 249 countries, or political entities, and a total of more than 13,500, as some collections are composed of the same stamps in different formats: single, indented and unindented, in blocks or block sheets, first day envelopes, whole-postcards, booklets, etc. This stamp collection shows more than 2,180 different species of mushrooms.

The collection is built in the form of unique and original sheets elaborated by Miguel Angel Ribes (more than 2,500 sheets).

Each sheet of mushroom stamps consists of:

  • Flag of the country or political entity.

  • Name of the country or political entity.

  • Year of issue of the stamp.

  • The name of the stamp collection.
  • Images of the stamps.

  • Scientific names of the species of mushrooms, fungi or lichens that compose the issue.

In addition, most of the sheets include one or more photographs of fungi, taken by Miguel A. Ribes, of some of the species that appear in the set of stamps of that issue.
